Wildlife Rehabilitation Internship

As an intern with Diva Crows Wildlife Rehab, you will gain valuable experience in the wildlife rehabilitation and humane education and receive hands-on training in all aspects of wildlife rehabilitation:

  • Handling, restraint, and capture techniques
  • Wildlife husbandry
  • Neonate care and feeding
  • Wildlife education programs and events


  • Current student or recent college graduate (within two years), enrolled in a degree program in an environmental, animal-related, or educational field
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and work hands-on with wildlife
  • Current tetanus preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions including freezing temperatures, snow and heat
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Must be reliable
  • Basic knowledge of Virginia wild birds and natural history
  • Must have access to own form of transportation

Acceptance and Work Schedule: 

  • Part-time positions work an average of 10 – 20 hours per week
  • Flexible scheduling around school/work available
  • We do not offer housing/stipends. Internship is unpaid
  • Must include cover letter, resume and two professional references
