Wildlife Rehabilitation Internship
As an intern with Diva Crows Wildlife Rehab, you will gain valuable experience in the wildlife rehabilitation and humane education and receive hands-on training in all aspects of wildlife rehabilitation:
- Handling, restraint, and capture techniques
- Wildlife husbandry
- Neonate care and feeding
- Wildlife education programs and events
Qualifications:Â
- Current student or recent college graduate (within two years), enrolled in a degree program in an environmental, animal-related, or educational field
- Ability to lift 50lbs and work hands-on with wildlife
- Current tetanus preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions including freezing temperatures, snow and heat
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Must be reliable
- Basic knowledge of Virginia wild birds and natural history
- Must have access to own form of transportation
Acceptance and Work Schedule:Â
- Part-time positions work an average of 10 – 20 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling around school/work available
- We do not offer housing/stipends. Internship is unpaid
- Must include cover letter, resume and two professional references
