I have been rehabbing three American crows for the past several months. The last one to come in had a badly sprained wing. After some pain meds, some decent grub, and a few weeks in the enclosure getting his strength back, this one was ready to go back from whence he came. Super Son and I took him to a park near where he was found. It was a classic release. Second one: bird realizes it is free. Second two, he flies off. Second three he’s in a tree branch thankful that the ordeal is over. The two crows left are still recovering from a broken scapula and pox, respectively, but we’re all ready for them to be healthy enough to go back home and get on with their lives. Fingers crossed!
